The Media Tribe is an award-winning institute offering courses in sound engineering and music production, set up under Ashish Manchanda — a 4-time IRAA winner, world-class engineer/producer and protégé of multi-Grammy-winning Michael Jackson engineer Bruce Swedien. Our objective is to raise the bar of music and entertainment education in India, giving you the vision, experience and expertise to fulfil your dreams in the music industry.

Our faculty's credits span MTV Coke Studio, MTV Unplugged, India's Rawstar, Colors Infinity The Stage, and films like Bharat, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and Dev D — working with artists including A R Rahman, Ranjit Barot, Amit Trivedi, Vishal-Shekhar, Ustad Zakir Hussain, The Local Train and many more.
Our international visiting faculty includes Leslie Braithwaite (Pharrell, Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Cardi B), Josh Gudwin (Justin Bieber, Julia Michaels), DJ Swivel (The Chainsmokers, Coldplay) and Ross Lara — joining us to help craft the masters of tomorrow.
Where our students show up
Students have contributed to MTV Coke Studio, Coke Studio Bharat, MTV Unplugged, The Stage, NH7 Weekender, Spoken Fest, the Jaipur Literature Festival, Dil Hai Hindustani, Prithvi Fest and India's Rawstar — and have worked across the USA, Norway, the UK, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
We also curate our own music festival, Totempole, where students collaborate with world-class talent and live the behind-the-scenes action.
